yellow warning - severe thunderstorm - in effect At 4:33 p.m. MST, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and heavy rain. A severe thunderstorm 15 km southwest of Wapiti Lake Provincial Park is moving northeastward at a speed of 30 km/h. The thunderstorm will arrive at the park within the next 30 minutes. ### Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain. Road conditions are available at https://www.drivebc.ca/. Take immediate cover if a thunderstorm approaches. If outside, protect yourself from flying debris and hail.
