The following are the primary hazards of concern with Hurricane Helene for South Florida: * Coastal Flooding/Surge - Minor coastal flooding is possible today during high tide along the southwest Florida coast. * Rainfall - Additional rainfall of 1-2 inches is possible across SW Florida today and up to an inch over SE Florida. * Wind - Tropical storm force winds are no longer expected across South Florida. * Tornadoes - A tornado threat is no longer expected across South Florida. POTENTIAL IMPACTS ----------------- * SURGE: Little to no additional surge impacts expected. * WIND: Little to no additional impacts are anticipated at this time across South Florida. * FLOODING RAIN: Additional impacts from flooding rain are still a concern across Southwest Florida. Remain well guarded against locally hazardous flood waters having further impacts of limited potential.
