Tornado Watch issued April 25 at 5:02PM CDT until April 26 at 12:00AM CDT by NWS Dodge City KS THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED TORNADO WATCH 134 IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT /11 PM MDT/ TONIGHT FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN KANSAS THIS WATCH INCLUDES 17 COUNTIES IN SOUTHWEST KANSAS FINNEY FORD GRANT GRAY HAMILTON HASKELL HODGEMAN KEARNY MEADE MORTON SEWARD STANTON STEVENS IN WEST CENTRAL KANSAS LANE NESS SCOTT TREGO THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF CIMARRON, DEERFIELD, DIGHTON, DODGE CITY, ELKHART, FOWLER, GARDEN CITY, HANSTON, HUGOTON, JETMORE, JOHNSON CITY, LAKIN, LIBERAL, MEADE, MONTEZUMA, NESS CITY, PLAINS CITY, SATANTA, SCOTT CITY, SCOTT STATE LAKE, SUBLETTE, SYRACUSE, ULYSSES, AND WAKEENEY.

Red Flag Warning issued April 25 at 2:13AM CDT until April 25 at 9:00PM CDT by NWS Dodge City KS * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 061 Hamilton, Fire Weather Zone 062 Kearny, Fire Weather Zone 074 Stanton, Fire Weather Zone 075 Grant, Fire Weather Zone 084 Morton and Fire Weather Zone 085 Stevens. * WINDS...South 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 13 percent. * IMPACTS...Any ignitions will have the potential to burn out of control quickly given intense south to southwest winds and continued dry dormant fuels. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
