Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued June 8 at 11:49PM CDT until June 9 at 4:00AM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 292 IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM CDT TUESDAY FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN KANSAS THIS WATCH INCLUDES 5 COUNTIES IN EAST CENTRAL KANSAS JOHNSON LINN MIAMI IN NORTHEAST KANSAS LEAVENWORTH WYANDOTTE IN MISSOURI THIS WATCH INCLUDES 9 COUNTIES IN WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI BATES CASS CLAY HENRY JACKSON JOHNSON LAFAYETTE PLATTE RAY THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ADRIAN, BELTON, BUTLER, CLINTON, CONCORDIA, EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, FORT LEAVENWORTH, GLADSTONE, HARRISONVILLE, HIGGINSVILLE, INDEPENDENCE, KANSAS CITY, KANSAS CITY KANSAS, KEARNEY, LA CYGNE, LANSING, LAWSON, LEAVENWORTH, LENEXA, LEXINGTON, LIBERTY, LOUISBURG, MOUND CITY, ODESSA, OLATHE, OSAWATOMIE, OVERLAND PARK, PAOLA, PARKVILLE, PLATTE CITY, PLEASANT HILL, PLEASANTON, RAYMORE, RICH HILL, RICHMOND, RIVERSIDE, SHAWNEE, STANLEY, WARRENSBURG, WEATHERBY LAKE, WESTON, AND WINDSOR.

Flood Watch issued June 8 at 12:42PM CDT until June 9 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO The Flood Watch is cancelled for portions of east central Kansas, including the following area, Linn KS and Missouri, including the following areas, Bates, Carroll, Cass, Chariton, Cooper, Henry, Howard, Johnson MO, Lafayette, Pettis, Randolph, Ray and Saline. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining road closures. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
