These were located along a line extending from 11 nm north of New Haven Harbor to Falkner Island to near Great Peconic Bay, moving northeast at 40 knots. Locations impacted include... Horton Point, Little Peconic Bay, Shelter Island Sound, Madison Reef, Six Mile Reef, Shelter Island, Essex Village, Falkner Island, Westbrook Center, and Central Long Island Sound. Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
