yellow warning - severe thunderstorm - in effect At 4:15 p.m. PDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and heavy rain. The line of severe thunderstorms is now extending from near Australian to near Barkerville and is moving very slowly northwestward. ### Driving conditions will likely be difficult. Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain. Road conditions are available at https://www.drivebc.ca/. Take immediate cover if a thunderstorm approaches. If outside, protect yourself from flying debris and hail.
