special weather statement in effect Potential for Heavy Snow. Where: B.C. Peace River District. When: Now through early Tuesday morning. Total snowfall accumulation: 2 to 10 cm. DIscussion: A band of precipitation will remain over the BC Peace River district tonight. As temperature cools this evening, mixed rain and snow will turn to snow with more widespread snowfall accumulations. Snowfall accumulation across the regions will be variable with higher accumulations more likely over the northern Peace District and along the eastern slopes of the Rockies. Snow will end Tuesday morning as the band weakens and temperature rises.
