yellow watch - severe thunderstorm - in effect Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. Location: Southern and central Saskatchewan. Timing: Afternoon and evening. Hazards: -2-3 cm hail. -30-50 mm rainfall. -90 km/h wind gusts. -Isolated tornado or two. Remarks: A trough of low pressure over western Saskatchewan will lead to scattered thunderstorms this afternoon. ### Heavy rain can cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Strong wind gusts can damage trees, buildings and overturn vehicles. Large hail can cause significant damage and injury. Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
