Heavy Rain Risk Area The southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf is strengthening with more rain in the country and isolated heavy rain are likely in the North and the upper Northeast. The wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf are expected 1-2 meters high, about 1 meter high in the lower Andaman Sea and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In addition, the active low pressure cell over the Pacific ocean is expected to intensify tropical depression and move pass the North of the Philippines during 24–25 July 2026. People in the North and the upper Northeast should beware of heavy rain and accumulated rain. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
