Heavy rain risk areas The rather strong southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf while the monsoon trough lies across the North, the Northeast and the low pressure cell over middle South China Sea. More rains and isolated heavy rains in the country while isolated very heavy rains in the Northeast, the East and the South (west coast) regions. People in the East and the South (west coast) should beware of heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash flood and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands. All ships in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
