Extreme Heat Warning issued June 24 at 1:24PM MST until June 25 at 8:00PM MST by NWS Tucson AZ * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with afternoon temperatures of 106 to 109 degrees. Localized Major Heat Risk. * WHERE...Southeast Pinal County, Tucson Metro Area, Upper Gila River Valley, and Upper San Pedro River Valley (mainly north of Benson). * WHEN...Until 8 PM MST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat events. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1. Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing when possible and drink plenty of water.

Fire Weather Watch issued June 24 at 1:19PM MST until June 28 at 8:00PM MST by NWS Tucson AZ The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a Fire Weather Watch for strong and gusty winds, low relative humidity, and high to very high fire danger, which is in effect from Saturday morning through Sunday evening. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 150, 151, 152, 153 and 154. * TIMING...From 10 AM MST Saturday through 8 PM MST Sunday. * WINDS...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 to 40 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...8 to 15 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop or are ongoing will have the potential to spread rapidly. A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible Red Flag Warnings. Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in the field of the Fire Weather Watch for portions of Southeast Arizona.

Flash Flood Warning issued June 24 at 3:12PM MST until June 24 at 5:15PM MST by NWS Tucson AZ At 312 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across Fort Huachuca and Huachuca City. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Huachuca City and Fort Huachuca. This includes Route 90 between mile markers 312 and 318. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
