Tornado Watch issued May 21 at 7:57PM CDT until May 21 at 10:00PM CDT by NWS Tulsa OK TORNADO WATCH 278 REMAINS VALID UNTIL 10 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN ARKANSAS THIS WATCH INCLUDES 4 COUNTIES IN NORTHWEST ARKANSAS BENTON CARROLL MADISON WASHINGTON AR IN OKLAHOMA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 9 COUNTIES IN EAST CENTRAL OKLAHOMA CHEROKEE MUSKOGEE OKFUSKEE IN NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA ADAIR DELAWARE MAYES OKMULGEE OTTAWA WAGONER THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF BENTONVILLE, BERRYVILLE, EUREKA SPRINGS, FAYETTEVILLE, GROVE, HUNTSVILLE, JAY, MIAMI, MUSKOGEE, OKEMAH, OKMULGEE, PRYOR, ROGERS, SPRINGDALE, STILWELL, TAHLEQUAH, AND WAGONER.

Special Weather Statement issued May 21 at 8:14PM CDT by NWS Tulsa OK At 814 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 2 miles south of Watts to 5 miles west of Tontitown. Movement was east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down small tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations in or near the path include... Springdale... Lowell... Tontitown... Johnson... Elm Springs... Lake Francis... Wedington... Gallitin... Rocky Comfort... Wheeler... Savoy... This includes Interstate 49 between mile markers 69 and 78. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for northwestern Arkansas...and northeastern Oklahoma.
