Flood Advisory issued September 24 at 12:16PM CDT until September 24 at 3:15PM CDT by NWS Chicago IL * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following counties, Cook and Will. * WHEN...Until 315 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1214 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated very heavy rainfall occurring. Automated gauges indicate that rainfall rates as high as 2 to 3 inches per hour are occurring with these showers. This heavy rainfall will be moving into the south side of Chicago through 1 PM. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 4 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
