Arkansas River at Arkansas City affecting Cowley County. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Arkansas River at Arkansas City. * WHEN...Until Tuesday afternoon. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 17.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early Tuesday morning and continue falling to 5.7 feet early Friday afternoon. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades.
