Arkansas River at Oxford affecting Sumner County. Arkansas River at Arkansas City affecting Cowley County. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Arkansas River at Arkansas City. * WHEN...Until Tuesday afternoon. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 17.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early Tuesday morning and continue falling to 5.7 feet early Friday afternoon. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.
