Flood Watch issued June 20 at 2:57PM CDT until June 21 at 1:00PM CDT by NWS Wichita KS * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of central and east central Kansas, including the following counties, in central Kansas, Ellsworth, Lincoln, Marion, McPherson and Saline. In east central Kansas, Chase. * WHEN...From 7 PM CDT this evening through Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Large complex of storms is expected to move across central Kansas tonight, producing high rainfall rates and associated flooding. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Flood Warning issued June 20 at 8:16PM CDT until June 22 at 1:13PM CDT by NWS Wichita KS ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kansas... Mulberry Creek Near Salina affecting Saline County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mulberry Creek near Salina. * WHEN...From Sunday afternoon to early Monday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 26.0 feet, Widespread agricultural flooding can be expected. Depending on if high flows are present on the Saline River this may backup water on Mulberry Creek which would cause the property on the KOA campground to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 6.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 25.7 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Monday morning. - Flood stage is 24.0 feet. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. The next statement will be issued Sunday morning at 830 AM CDT.
