Northwestern Garrard County in central Kentucky... Western Jessamine County in central Kentucky... Southern Mercer County in central Kentucky... Nelson County in central Kentucky... Southern Spencer County in central Kentucky... Washington County in central Kentucky... * Until 130 PM EDT. * At 1149 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Roads closed due to high water in the Harrodsburg area. Between 2.5 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to continue with additional rain moving into the area. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Bardstown, Harrodsburg, Springfield, Burgin, Bloomfield, Willisburg, Mackville, Fairfield, Hardesty and Polin. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 651 AM CDT /751 AM EDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
