In north central Kentucky, Breckinridge, Hardin, Larue, Nelson and Washington KY. In northwest Kentucky, Hancock and Ohio. In south central Kentucky, Adair, Allen, Barren, Butler, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Edmonson, Grayson, Green, Hart, Lincoln, Logan, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Simpson, Taylor and Warren. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flood Advisory issued June 18 at 8:40AM CDT until June 18 at 1:45PM CDT by NWS Louisville KY * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central Kentucky, including the following counties, Breckinridge, Casey, Grayson, Green, Hardin, Hart, Larue, Marion, Nelson, Ohio and Taylor. * WHEN...Until 145 PM CDT /245 PM EDT/. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 840 AM CDT /940 AM EDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.1 and 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Liberty, Campbellsville, Leitchfield, Hodgenville, Hartford, Beaver Dam, Clarkson, Upton, Caneyville and Sonora. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
