Coastal Flood Advisory issued September 24 at 2:32PM EDT until September 26 at 1:00AM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC * WHAT...Two to two and half feet of inundation above ground level in low lying areas due to tidal flooding. * WHERE...Shoreline in Charles and King George Counties. * WHEN...Until 1 AM EDT Thursday, especially around the time of high tide. * IMPACTS...At 3.5 feet, water reaches yards near Cobb Island and docks near Dahlgren. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides two to two and a half feet above normal. The next high tide at Goose Bay is at 10:08 PM and 10:58 AM. The next high tide at Indian Head is at 2:02 AM and 2:52 PM. The next high tide at Dahlgren is at 9:13 PM and 9:43 AM. If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.
