Special Weather Statement issued June 23 at 3:38PM CDT by NWS Twin Cities/Chanhassen MN At 338 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong thunderstorms extending from over Mounds View to near Carver, or extending from 10 miles north of Minneapolis to 23 miles southwest of Minneapolis, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Shakopee, Savage, Roseville, St. Paul, Shoreview, Burnsville, Eagan, Maplewood, Apple Valley, Lakeville, White Bear Lake, Inver Grove Heights, Oakdale, Woodbury and Cottage Grove. Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
