Flood Watch issued July 10 at 2:21AM CDT until July 11 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS St Louis MO * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of southwest Illinois, including the following area, Randolph IL and Missouri, including the following areas, Crawford MO, Iron MO, Madison MO, Reynolds MO, Saint Francois MO, Sainte Genevieve MO and Washington MO. * WHEN...Through Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...Low-water crossings may be flooded. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected in and near the watch area this afternoon through tonight. - Locations in southeast Missouri, including southern Crawford, Reynolds, Iron, and Madison Counties, will be especially susceptible with several inches of rain already received since Thursday evening. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

Southern Crawford County in east central Missouri... * Until 930 AM CDT. * At 649 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 6 and 10 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Steelville, Cherryville, Cook Station, Davisville and Dillard. This includes the following State Parks... Dillard Mill Historic Site. This includes Interstate 44 in Missouri near exit 203. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Flooding is occurring or is imminent.
