Flood Warning issued June 5 at 11:31AM CDT until June 5 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO * WHAT...Flooding caused by earlier excessive rainfall is occurring. * WHERE...Atchison and Doniphan counties in northeast Kansas, and Holt, Andrew, Buchanan, DeKalb, Daviess, and Gentry counties in Missouri. * WHEN...Until 700 PM CDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1128 AM CDT, the transportation department reported flooding in the warned area. Several roads are closed in the warning area and are expected to remain so for several more hours. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... This approaches the flood of record. * WHERE...102 River at Rosendale. * WHEN...Until early Monday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Lowland agricultural flooding begins. At 18.0 feet, State Route 48 on the east side of Rosendale is overtopped by flood waters. At 19.0 feet, State Route 48 on the east and west sides of Rosendale is under water. At 20.0 feet, State Route 48 is flooded on the east and west sides of town which prevents travel in or out of town. At 23.0 feet, Homes and businesses in Rosendale are threatened by flood waters. At 24.0 feet, Eighty percent of the homes and businesses in Rosendale are flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:25 AM CDT Friday the stage was 19.7 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise to 22.4 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late tonight to 15.8 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will rise above flood stage late tomorrow evening to 18.9 feet Sunday morning.
