Flood Watch issued June 10 at 10:08AM CDT until June 11 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of northeast Kansas, including the following areas, Atchison KS and Doniphan and Missouri, including the following areas, Adair, Andrew, Buchanan, Caldwell, Clinton, Daviess, De Kalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Holt, Linn MO, Livingston, Macon, Mercer, Nodaway, Putnam, Schuyler, Sullivan and Worth. * WHEN...Through Thursday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Thunderstorms are expected to develop rapidly this afternoon in much of northern Missouri and far northeastern Kansas. Storms will be slow-moving and capable of producing torrential rainfall. Localized rainfall totals in excess of 3 inches are possible, which may occur in as little as an hour or two. Southwestern Schuyler County in northeastern Missouri... * Until 1115 PM CDT. * At 810 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
