Fire Weather Watch issued June 7 at 12:54PM MDT until June 10 at 9:00PM MDT by NWS Cheyenne WY The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Fire Weather Watch, which is in effect from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday evening. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zone 434, 435, 436, 437, 430, 431, 432, 433. * WIND...West to southwest winds 15 to 30 MPH with frequent gusts up to 40 MPH. * HUMIDITY...8 to 14 percent. Overnight recoveries as low as 25 percent. * IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible Red Flag Warnings.

Special Weather Statement issued June 8 at 12:44AM MDT by NWS Cheyenne WY At 1244 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Bridgeport State Recreation Area, or 27 miles east of Scottsbluff, moving northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Bridgeport, Bridgeport State Recreation Area, Northport, Angora, and The Intersection Of Highway 385 And L62. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
