Flood Advisory issued June 22 at 1:16PM EDT until June 22 at 4:15PM EDT by NWS Albany NY * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of east central New York, including the following counties, Albany, Rensselaer, Schenectady and Schoharie. * WHEN...Until 415 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 113 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This is causing urban and small stream flooding. - Another line of storms will move into the area in the next hour which will lead to additional flooding for poor drainage and low lying areas. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Albany, Schenectady, Troy, Rotterdam, East Greenbush, Cohoes, Watervliet, Rensselaer, Colonie, Scotia, Delmar, Latham, Guilderland, Niskayuna, Duanesburg, Menands, Ravena, Berne, Voorheesville and Green Island. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
