Flood Watch issued July 11 at 12:39PM CDT until July 12 at 6:00PM CDT by NWS Nashville TN * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following counties, Bedford, Cannon, Cheatham, Clay, Coffee, Cumberland, Davidson, De Kalb, Dickson, Fentress, Giles, Grundy, Hickman, Houston, Humphreys, Jackson, Lawrence, Lewis, Macon, Marshall, Maury, Montgomery, Overton, Perry, Pickett, Putnam, Robertson, Rutherford, Smith, Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale, Van Buren, Warren, Wayne, White, Williamson and Wilson. * WHEN...Through Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Soils are saturated from previous storms while additional rainfall amounts between 1-2 inches are expected through the weekend. Special Weather Statement issued July 11 at 6:39PM CDT by NWS Nashville TN At 638 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 9 miles west of McMinnville to 11 miles northeast of Manchester to Cowan. Movement was east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... McMinnville, Manchester, Woodbury, Gruetli-Laager, Tracy City, Monteagle, Altamont, Coalmont, Morrison, Palmer, Beersheba Springs, Centertown, Viola, Rock Island State Park, Summitville, Hillsboro, Pelham, Fiery Gizzard State Park, and Arnold AFB. This includes Interstate 24 between mile markers 113 and 135. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
