Special Weather Statement issued June 6 at 12:36PM CDT by NWS San Angelo TX At 1236 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near The Intersection Of Us- 180 And Farm Road 600, or near Avoca, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Stamford, Anson, Lueders, Nugent, Avoca, Lake Stamford Marina, Funston, Big Country Baptist Assembly, and The Intersection Of Us- 180 And Farm Road 600. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Up to 1 inch of rain is expected to fall over areas that received very heavy rainfall last night, which will cause flooding to occur faster today. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Northeastern Abilene, Stamford, Anson, Hamlin, Hawley, Lueders, Avoca, Nugent, Noodle, Neinda, Funston, Truby, Hodges, The Intersection Of Us-180 And Farm Road 600, The Intersection Of Us-180 And Ranch Road 126, Stith, Tuxedo and Lake Fort Phantom Hill. - This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
