Flood Watch issued June 6 at 1:13AM CDT until June 7 at 6:00PM CDT by NWS Norman OK * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of Oklahoma, including the following counties, Atoka, Beckham, Blaine, Bryan, Caddo, Canadian, Carter, Cleveland, Coal, Comanche, Cotton, Custer, Dewey, Garfield, Garvin, Grady, Greer, Harmon, Hughes, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnston, Kingfisher, Kiowa, Lincoln, Logan, Love, Major, Marshall, McClain, Murray, Noble, Oklahoma, Payne, Pontotoc, Pottawatomie, Seminole, Stephens, Tillman and Washita and northern Texas, including the following counties, Archer, Baylor, Clay, Foard, Hardeman, Knox, Wichita and Wilbarger. * WHEN...Through Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Areas of locally heavy rainfall are expected today through Sunday afternoon. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Flood Advisory issued June 6 at 12:11AM CDT until June 6 at 3:15AM CDT by NWS Norman OK * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northern Texas, including the following counties, Baylor and Knox. * WHEN...Until 315 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1211 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Seymour, Munday, Goree, Bomarton and Red Springs. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
