Flood Watch issued June 7 at 4:17AM CDT until June 7 at 6:00PM CDT by NWS Norman OK * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Oklahoma, including the following counties, Atoka, Bryan, Canadian, Carter, Cleveland, Coal, Comanche, Cotton, Garfield, Garvin, Grady, Hughes, Jefferson, Johnston, Kingfisher, Lincoln, Logan, Love, Marshall, McClain, Murray, Noble, Oklahoma, Payne, Pontotoc, Pottawatomie, Seminole and Stephens and northern Texas, including the following counties, Archer, Baylor, Clay and Wichita. * WHEN...Through this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued June 7 at 4:57AM CDT until June 7 at 5:30AM CDT by NWS Norman OK At 456 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 3 miles east of Sheppard AFB to near Lake Arrowhead to 13 miles south of Windthorst, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Wichita Falls, Henrietta, Petrolia, Scotland, Dean, Windthorst, Jolly, Lake Arrowhead, Bluegrove, Sheppard AFB, Lakeside City, Pleasant Valley, Shannon, and Joy. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Flood Advisory issued June 7 at 4:46AM CDT until June 7 at 8:00AM CDT by NWS Norman OK * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northern Texas, including the following counties, Archer and Wichita. * WHEN...Until 800 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 445 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Wichita Falls, Sheppard AFB, Lakeside City and Pleasant Valley. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
