In northeast Texas, Delta, Henderson, Hopkins, Lamar, Rains and Van Zandt. * WHEN...Through Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rainfall totals of 1.5 to 3 inches, with isolated higher amounts of 3 to 5 inches. Van Zandt County in north central Texas... * Until 800 PM CDT. * At 447 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Canton, Wills Point, Grand Saline, Mabank, Van, Edgewood, Emory, East Tawakoni, Point, Fruitvale, Lake Tawakoni, Purtis Creek State Park, Lake Fork Reservoir, Myrtle Springs, Oakland, Jones, Flats, Colfax, Willow Springs and Jackson. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. This severe storm will be near... Grand Saline around 505 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include Ben Wheeler, Whitton, Ola, Alsa, Elmo, Tolosa, Roddy, Jackson, Oakland, and Redland. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 600 PM CDT for north central Texas.
